Hiber Radio with Dr Getachew Begashaw July 30, 2020
Right on Dr. Begashaw! This generation can’t distinguish what is true and what is fabricated information designed to confuse society. Bloodshed no matter where and against whom it is being exacted it pollutes the land. The happenings around Oromia region against civilians is a calculated attack that is meant to send shock waves far and near for those classified as foreigners in their own land. The coldblooded act is so barbaric no one can even imagine a fellow human is capable for such atrocious act. But we know from past and current history; when men and women are blinded by Ethnic hatred and religious conflict a spark can become a prairie fire that will engulf everyone. That is exactly what is going on in Ethiopia. Looting, Killing and the systematic purge of our people by the Oromo fanatics. The German American Poet Charles Bukowski tells us in his profound poem “The genius of the crowd”
“…. but there is genius in their hatred
There is enough genius in their hatred to kill you
to kill anybody
not wanting solitude
not understanding solitude
They will attempt to destroy anything
That differs from their own
And then they will hate you
And their hatred will be perfect”
I suggest anyone to listen or read the whole poem. It is deep.
The killing and displacement of others will create revenge attacks and a cycle of hate and killings that will torment our people regardless of their ethnicity or religion. Indeed, what is happening in the so called Oromia region is “Ethnic cleansing and Genocide”. We must document the destruction with video and other means, even invite independent out side media to see for themselves and report the facts to the rest of the world. Factual reporting of the crime to the whole world will shutdown those morons who are chanting Down|2| Ethiopia!
The Capital City should move to Debre Zeit. Addis Ababa is too big creating major security threat to be the capital city , Addis Ababa is also too near to volatile cities such as Burayu making safety a challenge for Addis Ababa, the seat of the Federal government need to be where safety can be insured without arresting thousands of civilians is needed.
