How do you know it was intentional? What in the world is wrong calling a place in a name local population knows it as such? What in the dickens is wrong with that? This is a protest out of place. I have known and called the capital as Addis/Finfine since I discovered that in the late 1960’s. My lifetime Amhara friends call Nazret as Adama, Asbe as Chiro/Ciro and Debre as Bishoftu the entire time we have known each other because that was what their parents called those towns the whole time they were growing up.
