  2. Al Mariam is not Ethiopian. He is a U.S. Citizen for the last two décades. Even if the U.S. laws allow dual citizenship, the Ethiopian constitution does not recognize such duality. Al Mariam has lost his Ethiopian nationality when he acquired U.S. citizenship. So, why does he write and speak about Ethiopia and Ethiopians? This is not to say foreigners do not have the right to speak Ethiopia and Ethiopians, but the hostility he shows to certain ethnic group(s) in the country in his speeches and writings is way off the mark.

If he is serious about the stuff he speaks and writes, why doesn’t he mobilize lawyers of Ethiopian origin in the diaspora and take people he calls criminals to court in the U.S. or elsewhere? Who else is in a better position (a professor and practicing lawyer) than him to do it? Not long ago there was an attempt in Europe in that area, but when certain cases started were rolling in prosecution offices and the judiciary, Al Mariam was nowhere to be seen.

I doubt if Al Mariam has sent a letter in to D. Trump. Even if he did, D. Trump will not give a rats ass to it. He has written letters to all U.S. presidents in the last twenty five years which he calims to have sent. How come none of them called and talked to him. It is a regular practice that the W.House sends surprise invitations to people who want to talk to présidents. I simply Wonder how Al Mariam was unable to get one audience from six presidential terms. My guess might be right that he simply releases them in the cyber space without sending them to the office concerned.

The guy only mentioned Al Mariam’s name to add flavour to the discussion, but has not responded to him. He simply discussed peace in South Sudan, IGAD’s and Ethiopia’s position on the same country. It appears that Al Mariam has been dreaming his name mentioned by Ethiopian government official and now he is mentioned and his dream is fulfilled. If that’s not the case, what is the big head line which says “regime responds to Prof. Al Mariam for the first time ever”. It is like a party time in Al Mariam’s house. Big deal!

By the way, it is not only officials from South Sudan that faced U.S. sanctions. Certain officals from our tiny neighbour to the north, Eritrea, including advisor of the president are Under sanction. Is it by choice that Al Mariam does not want to mention the sanction on Eritrea when he talked about South Sudan? Simply asking.

  3. Sorry guys, I was drunk when I wrote the above observation. A while after, I got few seconds of sobriety to see it again. A quickly corrected remark follows. Thanks.

If he is serious about the stuff he writes and speaks, why doesn’t he mobilize lawyers of Ethiopian origin in the diaspora – there are many of them – and take people he calls criminals to court in the U.S. or elsewhere? Who else is in a better position (a professor and practicing lawyer) than him to do just that? Not long ago there was an attempt in Europe in that area, but when certain cases started rolling in prosecution offices and the judiciary, Al Mariam was nowhere to be seen. Not even a moral encouragement came from him.

I doubt if Al Mariam has sent a letter to D. Trump. Even if he has sent it, D. Trump will not see it. Even if he has seen it, he will not give a rats ass.

Al Mariam has written letters to all U.S. presidents in the last twenty five years which he calims to have sent. How come none of them called and talked to him? It is a regular practice that the White House sends surprise invitations to people who want to talk to presidents. I simply wonder how Al Mariam was unable to get one audience from six presidents in six presidential terms. My guess might be right that he simply releases the letters in the cyber space without sending them. Then he backs it by a bravado in the media like the VOA.

The guy from the foreign ministry only mentioned Al Mariam’s name to add flavour to the discussion, but has not responded to him. He simply discussed peace in South Sudan, IGAD’s and Ethiopia’s position on the said country. It appears that Al Mariam has been dreaming for a long time that his name mentioned by Ethiopian officials. Now that just happened and his dream is fulfilled. If that’s not the case, what is the big head line which says “regime responds to Prof. Al Mariam for the first time ever”. It is like a party time in Al Mariam’s house. Howevr, the practice is that officials call names of all kinds of people – big and small – and it is no big deal.

By the way, it is not only officials from South Sudan that faced U.S. sanctions. Certain officals from our tiny neighbour to the north, Eritrea, including advisor of the president are under U.S. sanction. Is it by accident that Al Mariam did not want to mention the sanction on Eritrea when he talked about South Sudan? Simply asking.

Al Mariam, keep writing and speaking. The last time I saw, what you wrote is full of quotes from your previous writings. You seem to have run out of ideas. Soon, you will begin to quote yourself in your speeches. A bore!

  4. So Professor When will someone of your status, stature and intellect wake up?
You have been telling the same story week in week out as if it has made any difference in the day to day lives of your fellow Ethiopians in the motherland or abroad in Babylon.
You know well and good that nothing will come of your write up as an individual other than get some remarks that will boost your igo and pride to claim you are someone of influence with Zero outcome.
What Ethiopia and her people need are citizens that actually do the talk and walk the walk.
You claim to be an expert in the Rule of Law, and Court room attorney but to date I have not seen a single case where you have taken any of the same folks you claim to be addressing in your weekly novel write ups to court or filed a single case against these bastards living among you and all of use around the Western world in comfort and luxory.
When will you snap out of the illusion and use your talent to make tangible, visiable gains so we collective can give you the attention you seek and the respect you desire. It is obivous to me at least you are painting a picture without being an artist. It shows that you are all bluff.
Let’s hope your loved ones around you will be honest and let you know that you are way off telling use what to do when you know dame well what needs to be done.
Set up an institution within your expertise and go after the rouge regime agents and ex criminals among us.
Show us by action not by writing.
    Stop being a Clown.

INSTEAD OF TAKING HIS FACT BASED ADVICES AND CRITICIZM THEY ARE QUESTIONING HIS ETHIOPIANESS
THESE ARE THE PEOPLE WHO WORK AROUD THE CLOCK TO DESTROY, DISMEMBER ETHIOPIANESS SINCE THEIR INCEPTION.
PROFESSOR ALEMAYEHU THE TRUE SON OF ETHIOPIA KEEP EDUCATING THE FREEDOM LIVING PRODEMOCRACY ETHIOPIANS THE VALUE OF LIBERTY FREEDOM AND THE RULE OF LAW…ALL THIS NOBLE WRITINGS OF YOURS ARE A NIGHTMARES TO ETHNO-APARTHEID MISSION FUHRER MURDERERS OF TIGREAN PEOPLE LIBERATION FRONT INNER CIRCLERS
KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK PROFESSOR AM AND THANK YOU

  6. Dear Abaa Faardaa K.; I read the response for Prof. Alemayheu H.M. you tried to write in good structured english gramatically, but it has no any substance to be good responsive even for any illitrate writer, rather than Prof. Alemayehu. Further, i understand from your idea that your are a parasite of the ruling Woyane party in the name of the Oromo People, or a corrupted state person in fear of your accountability to jail. Or else, fake-named Tigre who is infected with minority-thinking.

any ways, it is better to criticize yourself for action and think of the reality of the country, rather than standing to respond for Prof. Alemayehu who is highly struggling to the country’s growth and development professionally.
