The Embassy of Ethiopia in Brussels asked the International Community to stop TPLF from using WFP humanitarian trucks for wafare.
In its Twitter message the Embassy said “The IC should not sit idly by, as reports reveal that #TPLF is transporting its combatants on trucks that have been illegally painted with the logos of the WFP & the UN. This is in addition to the 1400+ humanitarian vehicles unlawfully seized by the TPLF in the past. Act now!”
The government of Ethiopia has been calling the IC to plead on the guilty actions of TPLF
. In a press conference on June 30, 2022 the press secretariat of the Prime Minister
, Billene Seyoum announced that between June 18, 2022 and June 21, 2022; 20,336 metric tones of food,1,775 metric tones of non food items,15.48 metric tones of medicine and 159,000 litres of fuel were dispached with 488 trucks and transported to Mekele,Tigray. However from those 488 trucks only 283 were returned.
