St George gain revenge against APR

Morogoro, Tanzania – Ethiopia’s representative St. George FC, who were held to a 1-1 draw by Ulinzi of Kenya in the Group C opener of the CECAFA Kagame Clubs Cup on Tuesday, beat APR of Rwanda 3-1 here today according to a report posted on the club’s website.

However, we cannot independently confirm the report.

It was APR who beat St. George 2-1 at last year’s final match.
In today’s other match, Ulinzi of Kenya demolish Ports FC of Djibouti 9-0 to go on top of the group with 4 points and 9 clear goals. The Saints are now in second place with 4 points +2 clear goals, followed by APR with 3 points and 2 clear goals, and Ports FC who lost both of their matches.

St. George’s remaining match will be against last-placed Ports FC, who conceded a total of 14 goals in two matches, while APR will take on group leader Ulinzi on Saturday.
