The gifts that Ethiopian Emperor Haile Selassie presented to Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’s mausoleum, Anıtkabir during his 1967 visit to Turkiye, were shared by the Turkiye-Ethiopia Friendship Platform for the first time in 56 years.
The Turkiye-Ethiopia Friendship Platform, which was established to promote the long-standing friendship, trade, tourism and cultural richness between Turkiye and Ethiopia, shared photos and videos of Ethiopian Emperor Haile Selassie’s visit to Turkey in 1967 and 1971.
Mr. Oğuz Atalay, President of Turkiye-Ethiopia Friendship Platform who stated that Ethiopian Emperor Haile Selassie conducted research on Ankara and Istanbul visits in 1967 and 1971, especially Haile Selassie presented to the Anıtkabir, the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Turkish Republic.
