Dr. Negaso Gidada and Ato Girma Seifu were released from detention after being arrested

The former Ethiopian President and the current Unity for Democracy and Justice (UDJ) party chairman Dr. Negaso Gidada  the only opposition party member of Ethiopian Parliament, vice chairman of UDJ Ato Girma Seifu;  members of  UDJ Executives’ Ato Asrat Tassie, Ato Teklie Bekele, Ato Seyoum Menegesha, Ato Shemeles Habtie, Ato Daniel Tefera and other 19 the party members were detained by police on September 27, 2013  in Addis Ababa Arada Sub city Police Station.

The party has been in a peaceful struggle campaign, “Millions of Voices for Freedom” since 3 months ago. On the coming Sunday September 29, 2013, morning the campaign is expected to be completed with Protesting public demonstration at Addis Ababa “Mesekel” Square. The Addis Ababa City administration recognized the coming Sunday UDJ party announcement of protesting public demonstration.
