Brigadier General Tefera Mamo’s Vision for Amhara Resistance: Path to a Fairer Ethiopia

October 19, 2024

Brigadier General Tefera Mamo expressed the underlying reasons for the Amhara people’s quest for equality within Ethiopia, highlighting their longstanding commitment to the nation’s progress and cohesion. He remarked on the significant role the Amhara have played in shaping the country’s development throughout history. Nevertheless, he also acknowledged the persistent animosity directed towards the Amhara, tracing this hostility back to the era of Emperor Menelik, who is renowned for his successful defense against European colonizers during the Battle of Adwa.

This historical backdrop has fostered a perception of the Amhara as a pivotal unifying element within Ethiopia, with their language, cultural practices, and religious beliefs forming essential components of the national identity. The struggles faced by the Amhara are not merely contemporary issues but are deeply intertwined with the historical narrative of the nation, underscoring their enduring significance in the quest for equality and recognition within the broader Ethiopian society.

The General further asserted that the Amhara people have been unjustly labeled and marginalized, particularly during the Italian occupation, which sought to undermine their significance. He stressed that any discussions regarding peace or negotiations must first address the restoration of the Amhara identity and their rights to live and work freely throughout the country. The ongoing violence and displacement faced by the Amhara, in a land built by their ancestors, is a pressing concern that must be rectified to ensure a future of equality and coexistence.

In his address, General Mamo highlighted the growth of the armed struggle among the Amhara, noting the expansion of their forces across various regions. He indicated that the movement has evolved significantly, moving beyond initial formations to establish more organized units such as battalions and brigades. This development underscores the need for strategic patience and preparation as they advance their cause. The General concluded with a resolute statement, asserting that nothing would impede their progress as they strive for recognition and justice.

  1. Hello there! As I told you I was away for a week cuz I was busy doing some work over there. During the week I lead my 300-man commando force that was trained in Mogadishu to liberate the Amhara, Oromo and Tigray regions wiping out every Oromo and Amhara on the planet. The next day after liberating them, the credit score of everyone in those regions went thru the roof to 850. Meanwhile, since I had wiped out every Oromo and Amhara, I declared Ogadenia liberated and handed it over to the only expert in the foreign affairs for The Horn of Africa, Af-Mishaar. As you already know, Af-Mishaar and I go way back to our days in the former Republic of Jigjige that was founded by his late uncle and mentor 5 star general Siad Barre. He is happy now like a kid at a toys store. On the other hand, I had the chance to make my benefactor el-Sisi very happy by giving him the ownership keys of the GERD Dam.
All problems solved! See how genius I am? You guys are so stupid that you have no clues. Losers!!!

    • Every time anything related to Amharas is mentioned you come out from your hiding space to write long, nonsense and incomprehensible statements. Your Amhara hatred does not mean anything since nobody knows who you are. Just write something positive and valuable or don’t write at all.

  2. One more thing I forgot telling you. After handing over the management and ownership of the GERD Dam to my beloved benefactor el-Sisi and the entire eastern half of Ethiopia to my very dear Arab-Somal friend at Villa Mogadishu, I had also transferred the ownership and operation of all precious metals(silver, gold, platinum, and diamond) mines including known reserves of iron ore, copper, tin, lithium, opal and all other metals along with all exports of all agricultural products like coffee, oil seeds and hides to Eritrea to pay off the 250 billion US dollars Ethiopia owes Eritrea. As you all know Ethiopia had invaded Eritrea at Keren in 1941 killing one millions civilians and illegally occupying that country for 50 years until 1991.. During those horrifying 50 years Ethiopia had killed five million and six hundred fifty thousand Eritrean citizens(I have the list of the victims right here in my hand) and destroyed 25,876 factories(I also have the list) worth 156 billion US dollars. By doing so I have made Eritrea as happy as a kid at a candy store, Ethiopia being the candy store. Am I genius or what! You guys are so dumb you don’t know which way is up because all of your life experiences have been going down! Boy, I hate those Oromos and Amharas! They were the ones that invaded Eritrea at Keren in 1941, occupied it for 50 years killing over 8 million citizens.

  3. Now on a serious note. When I see photos like this I get a kick of out of it. There are such photos and images like this on this and other Diaspora website meant to stir raw emotions. There was the one dressed up like a Rastafarian complete with the green, yellow and red color head cover and garb. Was that meant to ask for Rasta volunteers from the Caribbean and the world to fight alongside the Fanos? I get a giggle out of it. Now this photo which I remember it was in one those articles during the war of 2020-2022 as he was giving his government battle instruction pointing in the direction of the enemy forces. Was it used now to show him explaining the day’s combat and its main objective of marching all the way to Addis/Finfine the next day? I find it very funny/entertaining.

But it is not funny to the mothers of the young men and women who were marched into awaiting infernos. They are not just ones and twos but in their tens of thousands. They are wailing their yesterday’s babies will never come back alive to make them grandmothers and look after them during their advanced age. This is not only in the Amhara region. It is all happening to mothers in the Oromia region. What some of us here in the Diaspora have been doing with it is repugnant. Some of us are using the wailing mothers and their untimely and undeserved demise of their children in both regions to profit from it, line our pocket, so to say. It is despicable that I have been questioning whether such individuals with hearts of stone are even of Ethiopian heritage. Monster! Outright monsters!!!
