Taye Dandaa, the ex-Minister of Peace, had his plea to modify the accusations against him denied

Taye Dandaa, the former Minister of Peace of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, emphasized the importance of utilizing dialogue as a means to resolve conflicts effectively. Despite his efforts, his plea to modify the charges filed against him was dismissed by the Federal High Court, Division 1.,  Local media sources have indicated that the article he authored is not considered propaganda, and he maintains his innocence regarding the alleged crime.

During today’s hearing, the request to modify the charges was thoroughly reviewed and ultimately dismissed on the grounds of insufficient legal significance. Taye Dandaa emphasized that the lawsuit solely referred to him as the Minister of Peace Minister, urging for this error to be rectified. He highlighted his association with the Chefe Oromia Council and the Central Committee of the Prosperity Party, emphasizing the need for accurate representation.

In addition, he made reference to the two cell phones and a tablet. He submitted a petition requesting their return, and the court declared that it would issue an order regarding the petition.

Following the apprehension of the ex-Minister of Peace, Taye Dandaa, who did not have his immunity waived, Chefe Oromia voluntarily relinquished his immunity during the 6th regular assembly of his third year in office.
