I have been acquainted with Tamagn Beyen since my high school days in Bahirdar, where he showcased his program at the Bahir Dar Cinema hall. However, it was in 2005 in Minneapolis that I truly got to know him on a personal level, as we worked together on a fundraising initiative for Kinijit (Coalition for Unity and Democracy – CUD), an Ethiopian opposition political party. We had several meetings in Minneapolis for ESAT fundraising and various ESFNA events, as well as in Washington DC. We frequently communicated either in person or over the phone, but recently I have opted not to respond to my phone calls, which has led me to address his silence concerning Abiy Ahmed’s cruelty. This is the Tamagn Beyen I am familiar with.

Abiy Ahmed is like a father who has in mind only prostitution as a career for his daughter.
Instead of educating her, teaching her life skills, guiding her on a professional career or instructing her how to make a home, such a father only focuses on buying her cheap makeup and fashionable clothes.
