Saint George wins Stadi Mali 2:0 in Confederation Cup

The Saint George football team won their confederation cup game against Stadi Mali two null in Addis Ababa on 21 July 2013.
The Saint George’s got their first goal from a side play that Omed Ukri turned into a goal with a beautiful header.

The first half came to an end with no further goal from both sides despite good game by both teams.

In the second half the Malian team lost a very good chance at the 68th minute to score a goal as the Saint George’s goal keeper matched the header that could very much be a goal.

In the second half the Malian team was the better side as they pressed on for goal. The Saint George team appeared to prefer to defend deep in their pitch to keep their goal advantage.

At the 83rd minute, Fitsum Gebremariam scored a goal muscling the ball out from the foot of the Malian defender. Fitsum came into the game substituting Umed Ukri who scored the first goal.

The teams made two substitutes and two players of the Malian team saw yellow cards.
