Congratulation: Ethiopia becomes the First Country in the World to ban Gas-Powered Private Vehicle Imports

November 2, 2024

Abiy Ahmed has made a controversial decision to become the first global leader to ban the importation of gas-powered private vehicles. This initiative underscores his aspiration to position Ethiopia as a leader in international environmental policy. However, it raises questions about the genuine intentions behind such a significant move, inviting skepticism regarding whether it is truly motivated by environmental concerns.

The policy appears to be more reflective of Abiy’s personal ambitions than a genuine commitment to environmental sustainability or the reduction of carbon emissions. By enacting this ban, Ethiopia seeks to promote the use of cleaner energy alternatives and encourage a transition to electric vehicles. Nevertheless, the motivations behind this policy may be interpreted as more self-serving than genuinely altruistic.

The consequences of his leadership have been severe, leading to economic turmoil and widespread suffering among the populace. The ongoing conflict has resulted in the destruction of homes in Addis Ababa and the tragic loss of lives, particularly among innocent civilians and farmers, due to military operations involving airstrikes from drones and fighter jets. This ongoing crisis has significantly contributed to the destabilization of the nation.

Abiy Ahmed has repeatedly shown a propensity for disorder, exhibiting characteristics associated with Narcissistic Personality Disorder, which often manifests in his inclination to maintain a prominent role in unstable circumstances. His choices and behaviors frequently reflect an ambition to take charge in difficult situations, thereby establishing himself as a central figure amid periods of turmoil.

  1. “…This initiative underscores his aspiration to position Ethiopia as a leader in international environmental policy…”
This is plain bull…. , as Americans like to say.
Abiy is banning the importation of gas-powered private vehicles because his OPDO cadres have monopolized the importation of electric-powered private vehicles.
In a city where citizens get electricity once or twice a week, what is the point of electric-powered vehicles? Most owners of electric powered vehicles power their vehicles at home with their gas-powered generators. See? Abiy Ahmed’s electric-powered vehicles are actually gas-powered vehicles when you look at the real situation on the ground.

  2. This can be the right move. Now the dam on the Blue Nile is nearing completion providing sufficient electricity available throughout the country. Now the next move is start making the electric cars inside the country. Use the method Japan used in the 1950’s and 60’s and how South Korea used the Japanese plan in the 1990’s and still today. Reverse engineer the living daylight out of it. I’m 100% confident you can do it. Reverse the tar out of it. You must manufacture the electric cars domestically and it can be done.

  3. Extra! Extra!! Read All About It!!! This is breaking news!!!
Fitch Ratings has just raised Egypt’s short and long term credit ratings to B which is still well below the rating it gave to Eritrea which is a solid A. Somalia was given BB. That is right, double B. Ethiopia! You’re toast now because you are surrounded by a mighty troika.

Hey Ethiopia! I heard you just banned imports of gasoline powered cars. Good for you. You don’t have to import electric cars all the way from Asia. They are being made right there next door in Eritrea. Eritrea is now the world largest manufacturer of electric vehicles of all kinds. They can shlep millions of them during nights right across the border. All you have to do kiss and make with your mighty neighbor first by paying them the 250 billion in US dollars you own them for the people you killed and property you destroyed when you invaded that country in 1941, 1952, 1962 and 1998. See how easy I made it for you? Get going, you dumb ass!!!
