Under the title of ‘The development of unique stages of the struggle and strategies, tactics and directions of our next resistance (Volume 2)’, the text was presented by the Ethiopian News Agency, which it claims was leaked to the media.
Among other details regarding the intention to dismantle the Ethiopian state, it indicates that the attack on last November 3rd against the Northern Command of the National Defense Force was planned with the purpose of causing chaos.
It also explicitly details the intentions of the organization, declared terrorist by the Parliament, of overthrowing the Prosperity Party, winner in the general elections last June, and its leader, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed.
The goals are sowing disorganization among the federal military forces, escalate tensions, political attacks, conduct alleged negotiations with the authorities and promote armed insurrections in order to create mistrust among government supporters.
The document, which insists on the need to incite a popular uprising with minimal human and material cost, came out to light along with an open letter set by Ahmed to the president of the United States, Joe Biden.
The prime minister accused the US administration of not adopting a firm position against the criminality of the Front, and reiterated the willingness of the government of Ethiopia to work for the dignity, security and development of the country.
