Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt to Build AIDS Clinic in Ethiopia

December 17, 2011

(ANI) Melbourne: Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt will be opening an AIDS clinic in their adopted daughter Zahara’s native country Ethiopia to ensure that she is always in touch with her African roots.

The 36-year-old actress became mum to Zahara Marley in 2005.

During an interview, the ‘Salt’ star revealed that she and Pitt are in the process of establishing a medical centre to treat AIDS and tuberculosis in the six-year-old’s name, similar to the Maddox Chivan Children’s Centre they founded in Cambodia, where their eldest son Maddox was born.

The Hollywood couple plans to do the same for their other adopted son, Pax as well in Vietnam.

“They have programs in their countries for each of them we’re starting,” the Daily Telegraph quoted Jolie as saying.

“There’s a TB/AIDS clinic being built for Zahara; there’s a clinic already for Mad. So each of them will take that responsibility.

“They are from their country and they are of their country and they should know that, it’s part of their family, we are their family but so is their country,” she added.
