Amhara as an ethnic group has only one choice either to survive or vanish out from the surface of the earth. For Ethiopia’s sovarginity and existence as a country, the three terrorist groups must legally disband in Ethiopian politics, these terrorist groups are; Tigray Liberation Front (TPLF), Oromo Liberation Front (OLF), and Prosperity Party (Abiy’s personal Fascist Party). Therefore, Fanno and other democratic forces must unite to bring a lasting peace in the country.
In sixteen century, the Gala (Oromo) migrated from Kenya towards Ethiopia fowling their cattle’s hoofs in search of grazing lands. The Ethiopian kingdom were then weakened by devastating long wars by a Muslim terrorist Ahmad ibn Ibrahim/ Ahmed Gragn (1527-1554) which opened an opportunity for Galla’s invasions or expansions in the sixteen century. The Galla invasions were the most destructive for human lives and economic developments. Abba Bahrey, a sixteen century monk who fled from his home region, Gamugofa had well documented the massacres and destructions of the Gallas. His historical documents were published first in Germany, and translated to French and English. Slaughtering human beings and destructions of properties are still continuous.
With my own observations and analysis, there are two societies in this group. The original Gala and an Oromo; a mixture with other ethnic groups. According to the Galla culture, the females are forced by her husbands to have an external sexual affairs, or polygamies (external martial sexual practices are common in both genders). The observations of physical appearances in Oromo society would be a good evidence. The mixture society of Gala with others maybe what is called the Oromo; the differences in culture among the Galla and Oromo society would be one of the examples. The marriage process in Arsi and Guije; a female soon to be her husband acquires a male gentile of his kill. I am a witness on my young age in last days in Ethiopia, after a mutilated man was brought to a town. A man, a Gurage ethnic was pulled out of a road when he was walking towards nearby town after a car he was travelling on was stalled. They cut off his genital and left him dead in rush because of a heavy rain. They were all caught while celebrating with a scarified man’s genital hanging on a wall. Later, I have learned this is a common practice among Arsi and Guijje, maybe other Galla tribes.
Slave trading was a huge commodity among the Galla society; Jimma Aba Jifar a well-known chief of the region was notorious slave trader. Emperor Menileak II wrote him a letter to stop selling human beings. Jimma Aba Jifar wrote back to the emperor; “these are Gallas but not humans.” The Emperor responded Gallas are also human beings and warned him a consequence had he continue with his crimes. This is another evidence, the Galla and Oromo are two separate groups, as Jimma Aba Jifar being the same ethnic group. Today, instead to appreciate the emperor’s good deeds, some fanatic activist, ill-conceived to distort the facts.
Many tribes and ethnicities had been physically vanished in the country by the Galla/ Oromo invaders, the Gaffat society were living in a vast area in Wellega and Shewa were dispersed or completely vanished by Galla/ Oromo invaders. The Zay society were entirely disappeared by Galla invaders from their home land of Zway, and some who survived spoke the Galla/Oromo language. The people of Kembata, Hadia and many others were fled from Bale and Arsi to Shewa where they inhabit today. The society in Gamugofa, brutal mascaras were witnessed by a monk Abba Bahrey. Oromo/Galla by its history never established cities or towns. Violence and destructions are always their history, a recent ruthless burnings and massacres in Shashmen is a good example. Presently, they are claiming cities and towns to be under their controls, and have changed their historical names to Oromo language. Adis Ababa is currently under siege, and a catastrophic war would be anticipated.
Few years ago, I was reading a BBC report, an elderly man of Galla/Oromo who had 120 children. Only 87 of them were alive. He advised his children not to repeat his mistakes. Breading is a typical culture to Galla/Oromo with no plans of modern livings. Amhara taught them agricultural farming and modern settlements, including a practice in Christianity. With Abiy’s coming to power they are reinstate their old way of a devil worship known Eracha/Geda system. Since the Galla/Oromo migration to Ethiopia is now about 500 years ago, there is no a single economic developments they have contributed to Ethiopia except violence and destructions. The rights to live for everyone must be respected including the Galla/Oromo but needs to cease from claiming the lands they have forcefully invaded.
Abiy Ahmed Ali must be removed from power by all means and face legal and justice system for his massacres and crimes against humanity. This man is very dangerous to humanity and he is mentally sick and dangerous not only to Ethiopia but the region.
Civilians in Ethiopia’s Amhara region have endured ongoing deadly drone strikes, starvation, and the horrific targeting of women and girls through rape. The world must not turn a blind eye—demand justice and an end to these atrocities. #AmharaGenocide. #WarOnAmhara @CNN @hrw @AFP pic.twitter.com/HL23ZOUNFj
