(TH) – The Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF), under the leadership of Dr. Debretsion Gebre Michael, has declared the removal of Mr. Getachew Reda from his position of authority. This announcement was made on Monday, September 27, 2017, in Addis Maleda, marking a significant shift in the leadership of the Tigray interim administration.
In addition to Mr. Reda’s dismissal, the TPLF revealed that the interim administration has also terminated the positions of thirteen other officials, which includes four members of the cabinet. This sweeping change indicates a broader restructuring within the administration, aimed at enhancing governance and accountability.
The TPLF has further stated that new leaders have been appointed to fill the vacancies left by the dismissed officials. This move is part of the group’s strategy to ensure effective leadership and to address the challenges facing the Tigray region during this transitional period.

TPLF is just seeking attention as it gears to celebrate its 50th anniversary of having put shackles on the people of Tigray. A very smart propaganda and promotion move, as otherwise TPLF would be a forgotten peripheral entity. There is no substantial, significant split in the TPLF and there will never be. If TPLF splits, it would be to emulate Abiy Ahmed and create a Shene like entity that will do its dirty job while the ‘peaceful’ arm of the TPLF engages in party politics, denying any involvement in the terrorist exploits of its armed counterpart.

Getachew is lucky this is not taking place in the bushes. Otherwise, he might have hit the dust with his bullet riddled body.
