Egypt’s El Sisi “Red Line” on The Greater Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) !!!!

Egypt’s El Sisi after he removes the giant ship that blocked a Suez Canal for a week it seems he is energized somehow to draw a “red line” at the Greater Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD).

El Sisi is known for drawing red lines. Last year in Libya that shared a common border with his country. He threatened with his war machinery so far nothing!!!

Ethiopia is not sharing a border with Egypt. However, Egypt was encouraging Sudan to invade Ethiopia’s agricultural land five month ago while Ethiopia was acting against the Tigray People Liberation Front (TPLF).

The people of Sudan protested El Sisi when he visited Sudan, Khartoum early this month among other things EL Sisi’s push for war against Ethiopia.

Moreover, Egypt tried to delay GERD by arming rebels in Benishangul Gumuz where GERD is located. Thousands of Ethiopians mostly Amharas were killed, and hundreds of thousands left their farms are now in shelter.

After the destabilization of Ethiopia failed El Sisi came today with a known “Egypt’s Nile share” in the form of a “red line”.

Here is good news for the coming rainy season. Weather forecast for coming July to August is even higher than last season.

El Sisi’s water supply will positively be impacted, the Aswan dam will register a high reading. Sudan will be saved from flood and millions of acres of land will be available for future farming. Egypt and Sudan have nothing to complain about.

The second filling of GERD might even benefit in May to June wet season because of more than average rain forecast.

Therefore, El Sisi’s red line will be forced to move to 2022. By that time, Ethiopia is well prepared to control its internal political division to face any challenge that comes through Egypt in the form of another “red line”.

GERD is designed for hydroelectricity and any “red line” will also be “burnt down” by the energy it releases after the second filling.

Egypt’s water supply can be enriched by saving and looking for underground water sources Egypt has in large quantities. Diversification of water resources is what El Sisi must work on rather than looking for a miracle from Nile. The Old Nile is gone!!!!

Moreover, Ethiopia will not sign any quantity of water what Egypt claim her yearly “God given share” the true meaning of El Sisi’s red line threat on GERD.

No one can put Ethiopia in a dark no more. Egypt’s “investment” on arming rebels paid in the past for the Nile to flow freely for years. That is over President El Sisi!!!! That is Ethiopia’s Red Line!!!
