The politics of Easy-going without Being Questioned and Challenged is Over!

Muferiat Kamil, Minister of Peace

I read and watched what Muferiat Kamil, the minister of Ministry of Peace (?) said about why some countries including the US didn’t want to appreciate the victories or successes her party and government registered.

Here is my take and comment in brief:

I really do not know what kind of historic victories or successes have been registered for the last more than three years?

Well, the minister might mention the grand dam project as one example and it is relatively great to see some sort of positive story about it, and any genuine Ethiopian sincerely recognizes it very well.

However, this cannot and should not be used as a justification or excuse for causing unimaginable and untold misery or catastrophe to millions and millions of innocent citizens for the last three years and continued (right now) with on any meaningful and productive means of exit! Never and never and never! This is because trying to claim victory of building roads or buildings or bridges or dams or any other infrastructure whereas destroying the lives and livelihoods of a generation is totally incomparable!  Because when you destroy a generation or a priceless human resource that is critical or decisive factor in any endeavor of socio-economic development, your claim for victory or success becomes meaningless if nonsensical! I do not believe that any person with his or her right mind would say that it is okay to destroy priceless lives of so many innocent citizens and expose millions to unbearable situations if you build that or this bridge or dam! Not at all!

I hate to say but I have to say that you are one of the most puzzling and paradoxical if not politically ignorant if not stupid personalities of the so-called Prosperity Party!

Why are you shedding coccoidal tears and decry the actions being taken by any foreign government mainly by the USA and Europe whereas you moved out from Tigray by telling the people that all the TPLF forces have already vanished and became nor more the threat to your administration and the country?

Why you keep talking about the intervention by some foreign powers as if this is a new phenomenon of international politics which is mainly driven by national interests of actors whereas you retreated from Tigray and paved the way for TPLF forces to march very quickly and easily and vastly attack five zonal administrations of the Amhara Reginal Sate and causing huge and bitter consequences?

Are you telling us that you have nothing to do with all the miserable situations millions of innocent citizens are going through?

Are you telling us that your party and government is the collection of genuine political personalities? Are you kidding?

Aren’t you ruling with the same political thinking and system (constitution) that has been and is the root cause of the untold sufferings of the people and the very serious threat to national unity, territorial integrity and sovereignty which is getting extremely worrisome at this very moment?

Are you telling us that foreign powers are more responsible and accountable than you guys of a very crime -infested and incurably ill political system?

There is no and there will not be any other political actor than you guys who are badly stained with the very blood of innocent Ethiopians for three decades!

If you are serious about the untold sufferings of the people, you try to work hard and deal with your chronically ill political mentality and behavior and make things favorable for the realization of a real sense of rethinking, regrate, apology, reconciliation and move forward accordingly!

The rest is a total political stupidity and moral decay. The choice is yours! To do what is right and save the generation not only from a much more bloodshed of brothers against brothers or sisters against sisters and so on and so forth but also from the total collapse or disintegration of the country we call Ethiopia!

By doing so, you also can save your own family from a very deep and endless disgrace or embarrassment! Do now it and become a very good example of how to get out of a very protracted political crime and moral degradation and decay!!

  1. I’m not sure what the writer is/was thinking when he penned this article. I think he may have a problem because it happened to be a woman who happened to be talking. Ain’t gonna work!!! He is picking on the wrong firebrand!!!!

  2. Hi Farda, I appreciate you for responding to my comment in a way you understand, and you want to! And thanks for that!
I am a person of believing in the very idea of expressing our views and ideas for or against any subject we may be interested to engage in any way we understand, and we want to believe in. This is not because it is a simple thing to do so, but it is one of the very fundamental elements of the politics of civility and liberty or a real sense of democracy.
I sincerely believe that you and me agree that It is because of the very lack of this very critical element that our country has been suffering for three decades and is still suffering from the political system of ignorant and ruthless ruling elites (EPRDF/Prosperity ) by simply removing their former master mind (TPLF) form the the Arat Kilo Palace and replacing it with the another master mind , ODP/Oromuma which has made the lives of the people of Ethiopia much more miserable and catastrophic .
I wish I could be dead wrong, and things could be change for the better. But the very hard reality on the ground tells and shows us otherwise. Your very idea that expressing my critical comment on the very talk of the minister (the lady) is because she is a woman or female is stupidly ridiculous. I have never attacked her personal life and behavior at all. I said she is one of the guys of a very crime-driven political system that continues without any meaningful change of thinking and practice. I do not believe that to be critical of the ruling elites of this kind of political illness needs to take the consideration of being female or male at all!
I strongly believe and argue that the very political mentality of trying hard to defend the indefensible merchants of the politics of ethnocentrism will never serve any good purpose but will prolong the very unbearable and untold misery the people of Ethiopia. Let’s try hard to take a deep breath and desperately seek the very soul of truth, honesty, compassion, tolerance, patriotism, togetherness, diversity within unity, a very vital value of Ethiopia and Ethiopiawinet and so on and so forth!!

    • Hi Gorfu,

Thank you for remaining civil in your response to my previous comment. I commend you for that. Please also take a note that getting honest reaction to what said or written is an asset because such reactions create opportunities to re-exams and any adjustment due. I never met you in person so I don’t have any personal ax to grind.

I am sure you have the chance and time to read my comments on various topics in the past. Yes the old country has had various issues with several of them that made us cringe, sad and upset. It has not been ‘all-is-good’ state for ages but it has had its good and peaceful times. The current PM Abiy has its own good and really bad grades but it is not all bad. For me it is the only viable choice at this moment. When you talk about ethnocentrism my take is you are talking about these unrepentant bigots who get high from spewing around poison here among us and there in the old country. The only terms they love to utter until they run of breath are ‘Amhara elites fascism’ and ‘Oromo extremists’ when in reality Oromos were never, ever extremists’ and there were never, ever times when Amharas were fascists. I can tell you this in all confidence and assurance. If I find myself lost and hungry in Gojjam or Gondar regions where Amharas are in their majority I am 100% sure that they break their last loaf to share with me. That would be true if you as an Amhara find yourself lost and hungry in the highlands of Western Hararghe where my Oromos are in their majority they would be more than willing to give their last bread they have. Such uses of denigrating epithets are cruel and wrong and have proven to be deadly. They have played wicked roles in slamming the doors slam shut for those who want to make amends/repair the leakage in the harmony our fathers left behind for us. Germans were never ‘Nazi’ people but there/are individuals who were/are struck with the deadly disease. Amharas were never fascists but there could have been individuals with fascist tendencies who happened to be born to those who claim to be Amharas. Oromos were never ‘extremists/ethnocentrisms’ but there could have been extremist individuals who happen to be born to those who claim to be Oromos. It bleeds my heart to see this day and age high time for such poison sprayers. It is making the work very hard for those who work day and night to avert an all out bloodletting between these two giants these bigots want to see it happen. These bigots have come to a conclusion that they need a runaway chaos and destruction so they can go in and carve out territories as their own fiefdoms. Some folks are ‘worried’ to see my Oromos in their majority. So what? Oromos have been in their majority for decades. They have been ‘mogaasaazing’ and ‘elmaagosaazing’ non-Oromos among them for ages while allowing them to retain their identities. Ask those from the Western Hararghe highlands whose fathers and mothers were ‘mogaasized’ but they were still Christians and off course Amharas. Many of them rarely called Chiro/Ciro as Asbe Tafari. It has always been Ciro/Chiro. So were Adaamas and Bishoftoos. Those Amharic names were left at the courtyards.

Thank you firing up the engine of this stubborn and beyond-repair Afro/Ethio-Centrist in the sunset of his life on this good earth.

Stay Blessed and keep up the good work!!!

  3. Mr.Tegenaw Goshu
I read so many Analysis & Openion as well as comments you wrote about the Ethiopian Government. But never and ever have any logical point of view. The article you wrote about Minister of peace is a PIECE OF JUNK,WORTHLESS,POOR QUALITY and your brain is locked in the pitch-black bony valut of your skull.

  4. Here we go again!!! Tegenaw Goshu wrote an article to condemn, and complain about anything Ethiopian. He does this for the fifth time, works on to bad-mouthing the prime minister more than once, professor Al Mariam, Tewodros Kassahun, and now Muferiat Kamel. His deep hatred for Ethiopia blinds his judgment and blaming Ethiopians while he protects the evil Woyane at all times.
As I mentioned in my previous comments, Tegenaw Goshu is suffering from a narcissistic personality disorder and his hateful views are venomous and his flawed perceptions are out of touch. Ethiopia and Ethiopians were suffering under woyane for the last 27 years of Tegenaw’s dear organization, TPLF and he intentionally failed to remember the TPLF misery and pointing his fingers at those who are trying to right the wrongs made by TPLF. I just want to remind the readers that this guy by the name of Tegenaw Goshu is a woyane sympathizer with Amhara’s name and he is the number one Junta supporter and he is doing everything possible in his power to defend Woyane and other anti-Ethiopia elements at any cost. He is fighting hard tooth and nail to defame Ethiopia and everything Ethiopians stand for as he is one of TPLF undercover operating here in Ethiopian electronic media to spew his hateful agenda against Ethiopians. His approach is Woyane’s blueprint that hates anything Ethiopian. The prime minister of Ethiopia who is from Oromo tribe is the legitimate leader of country by the vote of over 38 million Ethiopians whether TPLF supporters likes it or not. It goes without saying, Muferiat Kamel is also a wonderful cabinet minister of peace who won the peoples vote through her party and she was performing her best in the role she took. If Tegenaw is crying or spewing his venom it doesn’t change a thing. The few fringe elements like Tegenaw, Tewodros Tsegaye, Lidetu Ayalew and other Woyane sympathizers are sick to their core when they are seeing these officials who are represented by the people and do their best to Ethiopia. I, therefore, would like to ask readers of this comment, to just ask yourself as to why this sick individual who always hates anything Ethiopian and is loved by Ethiopians write such venomous attacks every time? The mind-boggling question to this delusional person is why on earth, Tegenaw (Hagos) is upset to such a degree and be antagonistic and spews his vile hatred to the most admired Ethiopian Icons?
