When I went to the voting booth at 5:30 pm Tuesday evening, there was a lot in my mind on whether to pick Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump.
I was thinking about American history, about Ethiopia and my values as a Christian. Just like millions of other Americans, I voted for Trump.
It was not only because of the uncontrollable drugs and illegal immigration coming from American southern border. It was not only how the Clintons and liberals failed the urban community and enslaved them with bad schools and perpetual dependence on welfare. It was not only because of big banks and big corporations abandoning the American people. It was more.
It was not just that the Obama and Clinton administration divided our country by race. When Obama exaggerated police brutality and used his Justice department to blame the police, he emboldened lawlessness. And Hillary labeled many police as “racists,” which has caused riots everywhere in America, with innocent policemen being shot in Dallas and other places. Everytime the Obamas, Clintons and the media blamed the police for everything, I saw the sadness of my white neighbors. I felt the anger of many Americans. So when they voted for Trump, they were sending the message to democrats and the media: stop saying that America is a racist country. Stop dividing Americans!
The words “racist” and “bigot” are powerful insults that should have never been used recklessly. When the bias media and the democrats falsely labeled the American police as racists and bigots, they belittled the words “racist” and “bigot.” So when the media attacked Trump as “racist” and “bigot,” the American people were already desensitized to those labels. There is something American about defending a person that is constantly being attacked and bullied. Defending an underdog is the American way. And for the whole year of 2016, Donald Trump was being viciously attacked by the media, the politicians, the celebrities and the elites. So When American voters were defending Trump, the American white population were defending themselves. American people said enough by voting for Trump.
It was not just that Obama destroyed the moral foundation of America but he attacked the religious liberty and basic rights of Christian Americans. He became an embarrassment to African Americans whose civil rights movement of the mid 1900s was led by religious leaders and black pastors. After spreading mass abortion and recklessly legalizing gay marriage, Obama became a dictator by unconstitutionally imposing his pro-LGBT values on churches, forcing christians, clerks and churches to marry people of the same sex. He even threatened to defund federal and state institutions if they don’t provide separate bathrooms to transgenders. That is why, millions of evangelicals came out to vote against Obama and vote for Trump.
The Obama and Clinton foreign policy failed in Syria, failed in North Korea and failed in Libya while worsening the situation in Iraq. When it came to Ethiopia, where many people are being massacred, President Obama wrongly labeled the dictatorship as a “democratically elected” government. And Hillary Clinton’s Foundation received millions in donations from the ruling party in Ethiopia, which led to her State Department praising the dictators. This Washington DC corruption and foreign policy incompetence has been left uncontested for many years until Tuesday, when Americans voted for an anti-war candidate.
The media. Oh, where do we start? The media was both Trump’s enemy. He used social media effectively and loosened the iron grip control that corporations had on American mainstream media. Nobody trusts the media. The media accused him of supporting KKK but it was Hillary Clinton who once admired KKK member Robert Byrd. The media accused Trump of insulting Obama with the Kenyan birth certificate saga; but in 2008, it was Hillary’s campaign who insulted Obama using African Muslim clothing. So the American people witnessed the media’s hypocrisy. The Wikileaks exposed that American media was corrupt and bias. Journalists from MSNBC, ABC and others were exposed for dining with the Hillary Clinton campaign. CNN was exposed for secretly sending debate questions to Hillary Clinton. Many newspapers were exposed for cooperating and colluding with Hillary’s party. So What angered many Americans was how the media became an agent of the elites, instead of being a servant of the people. The one-sided American media became as undemocratic as the state-media that we see in dictatorships like Ethiopia and Eritrea. So When people voted for Trump, they were voting for democracy. They were voting for independent media and against corporate media corruption.
In fact, the New York Magazine was already preparing the front page for their Wednesday morning publication and it was supposed to have Trump’s picture with the word LOSER written on his face! Now, the corrupt media has to eat their word and admit defeat by the American people because the ultimate underdog has won the presidency of the United States.
