  1. Does it really matter what Lencho said and did not say at this time ??? Why are we focusing and Why are we wasting our time for such dinasoric and old Politicians and their old way of thinking ???for heaven’s sake let’s be serious and give more value for the heroic Ethiopian farmers of Amara,Oromo,Somali,Sidama, Anuaks, Gurages etc, etc..who are facing the blood thirsty TPLF mass murderer Agazis day in And out as we speak those should be the real burning Issues at this time Ethiopia
What Obbo Lencho letta blablen In My Opinion have Zero values and its Irrelevant about flags or else

  3. I Just finished listening Lencho Letta’s Q/A sessions
What I noticed in one of his statement regarding His current Oromo Organization’s and If they had a fighting wing ? His answer was fascinating: He equates the Organization fighting wing with his own old age-And How he is too Old and not capable to be a fighter at this age ????? I thought it was about The Organization’s long term plan to unseat Woyane, inspite of his age.in my beliefes Any Organization Objecives and Goal should NEVER be determined by the age of one of its member.

  5. I listened to Ato Lencho Leta’s comments in the above video clip and would like to make the following few observations.
1.Ato Lencho as a leader of the ODF shows a conspicuous divergence from his previous political position when he was a leader of the OLF. In his current role he seems to openly accept that the democratisation of Ethiopia as a key solution could be achieved without the secession of any group.

    2. He has made an alliance with a political front that is not ethnic based by that token he accepts the unity of Ethiopia under a federal form of government.

    3. Sadly but curiously, the OLF had never officially declared unambiguously that it was not an actor in the atrocities of which it has been accused of having committed in several places such as in Assossa, Arsi, and Harrarghe. Even now Ato Lencho in this meeting, did not clear that ambiguously.
    4. Considering his age, one would believe that Ato Lencho could remember what the Ethiopian Flag during the previous governments was always the green, gold and red colours in equal horizontal parts. The lion of Judah was never part of our flag, contrary to some recent cheap propaganda. It was the emblem of the Emperors and displayed on royal palaces. The Derg never changed the Ethiopian flag, although they might have had some temptations to encrust the red hammer and sickle, symbol of the communist movements of which Ato Lencho would not deny participation.
Therefore his statement that previous governments had some form of addition to the Ethiopian Flag, although not intended to mislead, is absolutely factually wrong. I am really surprised that he could make such misleading statement to an audience that constitutes young people who did not know what he is meant to know.
However, it is encouraging to see Ato Lencho’s acknowledgement that many, including thousands of Oromos, died for this flag and our country.

  7. Lencho Leta has no mandate from the people of Ethiopia. He is an ordinary person. He may have a dream of becoming a leader for motives known to himself. He changed his name from Yohannes to Lencho, a sign that he even does not respect his parent’s wish calling him Yohannes. He changed OLF to ODF too. Does it then surprise you that he wants to change the flag as well as the name Ethiopia? Why pay attention to the likes of Lencho whose intention by any measure is to dismantle Ethiopia?

  9. Lencho Leta has complex personality that reflects on his political career. Personality matters! – Derg agenda was ruined by Mengistu choleric personality disorder. No matter how educated you are, personality dictates your decision making direction. Obama is too cautious, Meles was manipulative, Essayas is stubborn, etc etc. In politics, you must upgrade yourself with the reality on the ground, technology has changed, society has changed, therefore politics must adjust itself for challenges ahead. On the other hand, consistency is important to have credibility.

Obbo Lencho doesn’t want to talk about things that happened as recent as 20 years ago, the massacre committed against poor Amhara people in Arbagugu and Bedeno on his watch, to clarify his side as top official of OLF. On one hand, the political elites of Oromo, open the bible of Menelik in every meeting talking about things that happened 200 years ago, but the victims of Arbagugu and Bedeno are alive, children grew up without parents, displacement, etc. they deserve to know the truth. Oromo elites loading the past sins on poor Amhara population, for the crimes committed by the past regimes in which the Oromos participated.

Obbo Lencho approved the federalism made in Woyane, which at the time of forming the constitution the public were not consulted, Amharas were not represented, small ethnics and other interest groups were left out. I am not criticizing Obbo Lencho for believing in ethnic federalism of Ethiopia, but accepting woyane sham constitution, and yet… he has problem with the green-yellow-red flag by saying that it is not constitutional? which constitution??? It seemed that Obbo Lecho slightly angry by saying “whether we like it or not, Oromo flag here to stay”! On one hand downgrading Ethiopian Flag, on the other hand talking about woyane constitution as legitimate and the existence of Oromo flag. Am I missing something here???

  11. These leaders still look like backing by their master mind Sha’ebya and woyane elites
while they burned their people alive also he denied the reality of the Crime committed by OLF
against poor Amaras. We know that your bosses told you to do so,they used you and trash you out just use and throw
“Memars temerhal mastewalun gen resthal”. My advise to him is just leave alone the politics to the new generation because he is very close to follow Fidel Castro.

  13. This old guy is a blatant liar. OLF/OPDO has/have committed atrocities against defenceless people. That is not the point. The point was under his leadership there was deliberate campaign to teach & spread hatred against other people particularly against Amhara. He said why do we have to talk about Bedeno, arbagugu etc massacre? But the point is the OLF cadre who were trained when he was at the helm of power were spreading half baked story about Menilik atrocities against Oromos. That is where Woyane capitalized to wedge rift & animosity between Amhara & Oromo. Now he is talking about solidarity, it’s not bad. However, if he were to take some sort responsibility for what happened during his leadership would make him more trustworthy.
