ICG-17 on Long Covid & Headquarters of Africa CDC in Addis Ababa

A Chinese company wins bid for the first phase of the African Center for Disease Control and Prevention project (African CDC) of the African Union on Wednesday. A milestone in cooperation between China and African countries to strengthen their public health and epidemic prevention systems.

The link to the video on “Long Covid” presented last month at the International Conference on Genomics in China (ICG-17).  As a member of the advisory board,  I have been giving lectures since 2011. This year, more than 600,000 attended the conference on site and by Zoom.  I have also acknowledged my Chinese colleagues and friends who played a crucial role for China funding the building of Africa CDC in Addis at a cost of US $80 million. We succeeded in overcoming US’s effort to block Africa CDC from being built in Addis (picture attached).
