Blessing Africa
Hosanna Broadcasting Foundation provides a second chance at life to orphaned girls in Addis, Ababa, Ethiopia who have lost their parents to HIV/AIDS.
Carson, CA:   Hosanna Broadcasting Foundation is celebrating its 10th annual Blessing Africa – Sharing the Agape Moments – event on October 3rd, 2014 at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel, LAX. HBN TV Talk show host Cheryl Price will host the extravaganza and live music by award winning Gospel artists Steven B Steward and Helen Baylor. The evening will include an African themed fashion show, live and silent auction and sponsor give-a-ways.  Hosanna Broadcasting Foundation is hosting their 10th annual event to be able to raise funds to expand “Hosanna House” orphanage that has been open since 2004.
Hosanna House is an orphanage that cares for homeless girls who have lost their parents due to the HIV/AIDS virus. The founder of Hosanna Foundation, Ms. Tersit Asrat saw this problem and couldn’t ignore God’s children who were in the streets of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia facing danger and abuse each and every night.  She enlisted herself to be a part of the solution to this horrendous problem and have been trusting God for His provision to care for them.  Ms. Asrat has legally adopted the girls two years ago and is looking forward to expanding the orphanage to be able to care for more children.
“It is so amazing and a humbling experience that God has allowed us to make it through these past ten years.  Through difficulties and hardship, we were able to stand firm by the Grace of God.” Said Ms. Tersit Asrat, and asked for any kind of partnership with likeminded persons who want to help children that are suffering in the streets of Africa.
Hosanna House at present cares for twenty girls who were sleeping on the streets and begging for their daily bread.  “Our success story is that one of our girl has completed her college education and now has a great job and has moved out to manage her own life.  There are four more girls in college and four getting ready to graduate from high school.” Said Mrs. Kathleen Risch, one of the board members who also runs a home for blind homeless boys in Ethiopia.  The world needs our unconditional love and dedication to do what we can to help those who are in need”, said Ms. Eland Phillips, one of the Hosanna Council members, a group of ladies who have dedicated their time and efforts to support the Hosanna House project.   For ticket information please call us at 310-348-9188 or log on to
