There are always exceptional cases when a mother can’t feed her baby with breast milk such as due to chronic or serious illness.
However, in the absence of any sensible reasons, it is highly recommended to feed a baby exclusively with breast milk AT LEAST 6 months.
The longer a baby stays on breast milk, the more s/he becomes resilience fighting different childhood diseases.
Breast Milk contains several kinds of good bacteria that can serve as probiotic which means they provide :-
1. Anti-Inflammatory meaning fights :Eczema ,atopic dermatitis which is common in kids along with asthma.
2. Anti-Infectious, such as ear infection.

When you ensure your baby is getting enough breast milk early on , you are basically enabling not only your baby’s digestive tract is populated with good bacteria to strengthen his/her overall immunity system but also preventing him/her getting unnecessary antibiotic medications to treat common childhood diseases such as ear infection, strep sore throat, flu etc .
