A Parent Guide Book Launch and Panel Discussion for Ethiopian Parents in London

A new book entitled “የልጆች አስተዳደግ በዚህ ዘመን: ተግዳሮቶቹ እና መፍትሔዎቹ” which is equivalent to “Parenting These Days: Challenges and Remedies” will be signed on in London on the 18th of May afternoon. The book, co-authored by Fesese Gebrehana and Dr Belachew Chekene, is mainly focused on the challenges of raising children in today’s global and ever changing dynamic world – be it inhome or abroad. The authors had previously launched Amharic and Ethiopian Heritage Teaching DVD for children who speak English, French and German. The self-help book is a research based which parents and children and physiologists and sociologist were the main contributors. It is an interactive book with eight chapters. The book is covering the following issues:
 What are the challenges of Ethiopian parents living abroad?
 Development of child from foetus to adolescent and parent’s role
 What kind of parent are you? dictatorial, democrat, free or negligence?
 What do you need to do for your child for proper physical and moral growth?
 What is the effect of the current technology for our children and how can we use it?
 A test chart for your effectiveness of parenting
 Many more….

Parallel to the book launch, there will be a panel discussion on the issues of child rising in the presence of Ethiopian scholars, and the wider community in the UK. The following scholars will have present and discuss on the event.
