Ethiopia suffered an injury scare on Friday when striker Getaneh Kebede got injured in training.
The player who has been in great form scoring four goals in the World Cup qualifying campaign twisted his ankle at the Stade Massamba Debut in Congo Brazaville.
However coach Sewnet Bishaw was hopeful that the player would recover before the Satuday clash, “we hope it’s not a serious injury and our doctors will have to take a close look and monitor his progress before Saturday.”
Getaneh who plies his trade for Bidvest Wits in the South African PSL stayed out of the rest of training as his leg was partially bandaged.
He left the training all smiles saying he hoped from what he referred as a small knock, “I was feeling pain after twisting by ankle but I hope to recover in time “he told supersport.com.
