  1. As victims of evil regimes and politicians, we Ethiopians condemn any violence during election time, including intimidation by the current ethnocratic apartheid Ethiopian regime and partners at home and from abroad. We stand with all peace-loving people, including Americans, to take this election season as a model for the world. We believe in free elections and proper debates on values of human rights and economic success for all humanity.

  2. This is really stay sad moment. I am very happy the candidate was not seriously hurt but there were other peaceful citizens who were out there to see their beloved candidate and got killed and critically injured. As usual, the shooter is some punk who stole his father’s rifle to shoot at the rally. That is a lesson to those of us parents and grandparents. If we are legal gun owners, we should keep them in safe places where no one will be able to access them in our absence.
Lets all be apprehensive now. Don’t panic but stay vigilant at crowded places. Let’s also hope that this senseless crime do not trigger more violence. The rest of this election year is going be marred with inciting rhetoric all the way to post election. But the country has all the positive attributes to recover quickly and move on.
