In the absence of a multitude, there is always one amongst who can stand for rights. This is true with honorable Senator Jim Inofe, a representative from a great State of Oklahoma. Presently, no one among Western politicians could understand the history and geography of Ethiopia better than Senator Jim Inofo. Oklahomans knew the country very well; they have a deep-rooted historical connection where they laid their fingerprints on Alamia Unveristy during Emperor Hail Selassie and President Kennedy. My writing in here is about sovereignty and integrity of Ethiopia and it has nothing to do with government officials.
It has been well understood; President Biden has come to power when the world is in a very deep crisis with COVID-19 pandemic. As a man who is in politics throughout his life, he is able to understand politics by far and better than his predecessor. Nevertheless, some he had appointed in his cabinet is unfit to the positions they serve, including members of previous administrations who are responsible to the crises in Libya, Syria, and many others. For several years, among the President’s close cabinet members who had have established strong personal relationships with a terrorist Tigray People Liberation Front (TPLF) are remain a sympathizer to a demised group. Here, I am writing a piece of advice not to repeat a previous mistake, be vigilant to carefully reviewing the situation in Ethiopia. There are many interest groups working hard day in and night to destabilize this region. Egypt is a long time beneficiary of conflicts and war in Middle East and Africa, TPLF and OLF are within the country and have had base in Egypt. The USA politicians need to stop listening to self-absorbed ill advices with paid lobe group, instead focus on serving the interest of the people of the USA. This region including the Middle East has been a hotbed for terrorism, Osama Bin-Laden had his base in Sudan, his depute Ayman-Zawahiri is an Egyptian. The September 11 New York terrorist attack, among the majority were Egyptians.
This article is intended to clarify the current situation on ground rather than about the leadership in Ethiopia. No one is an intimate or sympathizer to Tigranes than their kin Ethiopians. The problem is a political leadership of TPLF that brought human crises in the region and the country.
Since its inceptions Tigray People Liberation Front has been indoctrinated with a very strong hardline communist theory that is comparable to the Albanian communist. It came to power by murdering its own members and civilians in Tigray province. It had massacred thousands of Welkite Amhara and had driven them out of their lands. After Tigray People Liberation Front took power with the help of the USA and British mediators, and the massacres continued in thousands of Amhara, Oromo, Somali (Ogaden), Gambela and many others were agonizingly intensified. People outcried, demonstrations in Western countries to make it known to the world, had fallen in deaf hears, had no one to heed.
TPLF is not only a hardline communist, it is a terrorist group, and has operated a mafia business controlled by its organizations. Billions of dollars including aid money were stolen from the country and deposited in foreign banks. It has never economically assisted the Tigranes to rebuild their lives, a good example is in fact for thirty years of its administrations not a single water well drilled in a capital Mekelle. However, Tigray Liberation Front’s elites lives luxurious lives in the Western countries, and their children are attending the most expensive schools abroad.
Having said the above, it is necessary to look at what led the country to the current chaos. After a mass revolt in the whole country, TPLF run away to re-comp in Tigray, there it recruited ethnic groups it had previously organized, funded, and armed to destabilize the country. The current leader, PM Abey Ahmed asked the public to forgive TPLF for its past crimes to bring peace during his acceptance speech. Well, TPLF never hesitate to take an act of evil. It acted by murdering hundreds of soldiers on their sleep. One can ask: is there any leader in the world who would be quiet when the country’s soldiers massacred seemingly by its own people? The young well organized Tigranes went house to house in Mai-Kadra town and savagely massacred thousands of civilians in Wolkite. Is this acceptable with a person in rightful mind?
For many years, TPLF and OLF have misled the USA and European politicians with falsified information. The recent letter to Jeffrey Feltman written by Mr. Merera Gudina, is a good example. It was signed by several the so-called Oromo intellectuals and is far from truth. Mr. Gudina who was grown a communist, had served a cadre for lifeless political party during a military rule. He claimed to be educated with PhD in political science. However, he is unable to distinguish facts from fantasy. He proliferates false propaganda on his letter accusing PM Abey’s intentions to bring back Amhara hegemony. The truth is, except for the past thirty years of TPLF dominance, Ethiopia’s leaders were from Oromo. Fortunately, those leaders never claimed ethnicity as an ideology, which has now become TPLF’s pivotal political ideology to stirring up hostility among different ethnicity. Mr. Gudena and his group are using ethnic politics and looking a shortcut to seize a power.
